Duration of course

by Taryn

Hi Bill

How long does the course normally take one to complete if it is done part time - say 5 hours a week.

Thanks
Taryn

Hi Taryn

Thanks for your question.

As a general guide, you can expect to complete the theory part of the course within around three months if you're already working - or if you’re a busy mother - and you can find around 45 minutes a day or so to study the material and DVDs.

Then time is required for putting your learnings into practice with friends, family and colleagues, perhaps with the support of your own personal coach if you feel you need it. We recommend that you allow a further 3-6 months for this.

There’s no reason why you shouldn’t have your first paying clients within nine months of receiving the New Insights programme but this is only a guide. We’ve had people complete the theory in three weeks by taking time off work and studying for eight hours a day. To be honest, this is definitely not a strategy we recommend, as there is a lot to learn to be a masterful coach and, ideally, you should build in plenty of time for reflection and review as you go through the programme.

At the end of the day there is no right or wrong. You can choose to be a tortoise or a hare as we do not put time limits on you completing the certification.
