My background

I come from a corporate career, mainly in the IT industry. I found that working in the IT industry provided me with the opportunity to develop systems for a large variety of companies in many different industries thereby gaining extensive knowledge in many business areas.

I rose through the IT ranks quickly. I worked in Senior Management positions and then had an opportunity to join an IT outsource company of which I was an Executive Director.

During my corporate career, I gained extensive business, coaching and team development experience. I developed a passion for coaching staff and helping them achieve things that they did not believe possible to achieve.

About me

I now own my own successful business, called New Directions, that specialises in life and business coaching, self development training and business consulting.

I have developed - and I conduct - a number of self development training courses and I am also a motivational speaker. I am a member of the KZN Women in Business Forum.

I am also passionate about horse riding and I give riding lessons to the physically challenged. I am married and have a son, daughter and son-in law. I have three dogs, two cats and a horse.

My coaching philosophy

I believe that all learning leads to nothing unless people can change their thoughts and actions appropriately. The ultimate goal of coaching is to help you develop internal and external structures that will allow you to achieve success and reach goals you never thought possible.

Life coaching increases your potential by expanding your sense of what is possible and empowering you to take your life to the next level.

Through the process of coaching you can enhance the quality of your life by:

Experiencing greater focus, clarity and purpose
Improving your performance in all areas of your life, business or career
Increasing your self confidence
Eliminating stress and/or worry

My role, as coach, is to walk beside you on this incredible path of self-discovery, supporting you and assisting you to make positive, lasting change in your life. Most importantly, I am there to help you discover new ways of thinking that will empower you, through change and growth, to achieve more balance and greater accomplishments. As your coach, I will encourage you to develop the necessary skills, attitudes and knowledge that will help you develop action plans to meet your goals.

My coaching business

I decided to leave the corporate life in September 2007 to following my passion.

I enrolled with New Insights and am now a certified New Insights Life Coach. My business has expanded in leaps and bounds and I now coach a number of people to achieve their dreams in either their business or personal lives.

I have developed a number of training courses which I provide to companies that are willing to invest in the self development of their staff.

I work from home in Durban North, KwaZulu Natal and I am willing to coach anyone who desires a better life and feels compelled to make last changes in their life.

In a nutshell, should you wish to make lasting positive change in your life, then I’m the coach for you!
