Looking for a life coach

Hi Bill,

I am at a point in my life right now where I feel that having a life coach may be of great benefit to me.

However, I have no idea what life coaching is all about or what to expect from a life coach.

Could you give me some advice as to how to go about choosing a life coach and possibly recommend someone?
I am based in Table View, Cape Town.

 Hiring a LIfe Coach

Hi Jan,

I see Mara beat me to it in responding - well done Mara!

I don't know whether you have looked at the Find-a-Coach page on our website? There you will find a variety of coach profiles, including Mara (who, by the way, has completed Advanced Training).

You should decide whether it is important to you to be coached face-to-face or not (telephone coaching can be very powerful so don't write it off) and this will determine the locality of the coach you choose. Do you have a preference for a man or a lady coach? Would you prefer someone younger or someone with more life experience?

Once you've made the demographic choices then it's a matter of deciding who 'resonates' best with you. Shortlist two coaches who you feel a rapport with from reading their profile and ask them for an introductory session so you can get to know and relate to them better. Then make your choice!

Get it right and you will grow in leaps and bounds as a person!
