Hi there

I would really want to do a life coaching course. I've recently quitted my job, because I finally have the courage to follow my dream. I've come to realise that life is too short, and it can change in an instant, therefore I've taken the plunge to start afresh.

TAKING STOCK
by: Olivia

Today I'm taking stock again of the road that I've traveled, and I am feeling so grateful. I got married nearly five years ago to the most amazing man, and it has not been an easy road. In our first year of marriage we had to deal with a major family crisis, a miscarriage, becoming home owners for the first time, unemployment (me), trying to start a business, dealing with a difficult client and financial difficulties. We also had to deal with getting used to being with each to other, as we come from two different cultures. I was far away from home in a new city, and really miserable and lonely. The next year our child was born, and finally it felt as if our lives were coming together. And then everything fell apart. We became involved in a legal dispute with a major bank, which involved paying huge legal fees, and a car instalment, we had to deal with an evil helper who abused our child, due to our jobs we seldom saw each other, even though we were living in the same house, both of us were overworked, over-stressed, and we barely spent time together as a family. The neighbours were practically raising our child, because neither me nor my husband was home when he was being dropped from the creche. It was very very hard. There's so much more to my story, but today I realised that we made it through the help of God. In spite of all that difficulties, hopelessness and despair, God kept us together as a family. He sent amazing friends on my path, gave me the support of family, and provided strength when we needed it the most.
I love my husband for his selflessness, his support, and everything that makes him the man he is. I've come to realise that God is alive, and no matter what we are going through, He's always watching, guiding, protecting and loving us. Things have changed so much for us as a family, because we had to learn the hard way what is really important.
