Great news for those struggling with 2 hr Session Ones!

Hi everyone

When I started the course 2 years ago I had this exact complaint. I talk a lot and so one of my sessions took 3 HOURS - my poor client was almost asleep!

So - don't despair - it's very normal and here's a couple of tips to knock those sessions right down.

A) Life Wheel - should take no more than 2 minutes. Tell your client that when they rate each area let their sub-conscious do the work and that the first number that comes to mind will be the right one. If you allow them to think about each area, they will start to justify their scores and before you know it, you're 15 mins into the session and still on the life wheel.

B) Set only ONE goal - make this one goal juicy and inspirational and you will find if the client is committed to this one goal, the other 2 focus areas of their life will automatically improve. You can set them an action step to set a SMERTIE goal for their 2nd area if they wish but I recommend you work with your client on 2 goals maximum.

Implementing these tips will knock your sessions down dramatically - enjoy and remember, your session notes are there to help you - they are not meant to be a target - i.e. that you have to get through each page. Remember, if your client leaves the session inspired and committed to going for their goal, you have done a great job.
