Psychology vs Life Coaching
by Cass Green

Hi there
I would just like to know... Does the Life Coach have much to do with psychology? Do you use psychology as a base?
Life Coaching, like Psychology, has its basis in understanding what makes people tick. Life Coaching, however, does not deal with psychological illness and the provision of counselling or therapy to deal with past events and traumas.
Although Life Coaching draws some of its inspiration from the Psychology profession, it is also heavily influenced by executive coaching and consultancy.
Life Coaching is forward looking, starting with the premise that the client is where they are, and working with him/her to set and achieve goals that will make a positive and substantial change to their life.
