Gratitude
and the Law of Attraction

“Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more.
If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough.”

I just love this great quote from Oprah Winfrey.

Oprah admitted in a recent ‘Oprah’ programme dedicated to exploring The Secret, that she always knew about the Law of Attraction, but just never knew it had a name!

What we think about most is what we attract into our lives. This is the simple truth of the Law of Attraction. That would make it seem easy to experience a life full of happiness, enjoyment and fulfillment – wouldn’t it?

Well, yes, at least in theory.

The fact is that the Universe has made it simple for us to live the life of our dreams attracting what it is that we want and need into our lives. But the unfortunate truth is that most of us spend more time dwelling on what we don’t have and what we perceive to be the related injustices of our world.

Unwittingly, perhaps, we are consigning ourselves to continue living a life of deprivation and lack of fulfillment.

By focusing on what we do have (and let’s face it, most of us have an awful lot more than we realize if we take the time to think about it) and by deliberately taking time to feel real gratitude and appreciation, not only do we feel so much better about our situations but - guess what - we start to attract more of the things we are grateful for!

Next time you’re feeling down about your life, or you’re thinking fate has dealt you a bad hand, or you’re wondering why you’ve experienced such a run of bad luck, stop to think about what has been occupying your thoughts. Chances are you’ve been dwelling on exactly the things you don’t want or need in your life right now.

The Law of Attraction doesn’t differentiate between good and bad thoughts. It simply ensures that you get whatever it is you focus on long and hard enough.

The thirteen session New Insights Life Coaching programme teaches clients how to focus on what it is they really want from life - and the importance of feeling - and allowing time for - the expression of gratitude.
