I have noticed that other Life Coaching companies offer a chosen field of study example health and wellness, relationships or small business. Do you also provide a subject that I could specialise in?

Broad based vs niche training

Hi Sharon

This question is very similar to the previous one on specialisation so you might want to read the comments on that post as well.

At New Insights we are specialists in training people to become high quality, professional life coaches and we do that through our comprehensive, broad based life coach training and certification programme.

After completing a broadbased programme you will have the awareness, skills, knowledge and experience required and this will set you up to coach in pretty much any niche you choose.

Once you decide on a specific niche or niches it is then very easy to find short courses to further your knowledge of the specific challenges that people in that niche face if you decide that you need it.

We feel this is a far better and more effective way to go about preparing for a career in life coaching as you are developing sound fundamentals that are not niche dependent and therefore quite narrow.

Think of it as training to be a doctor. You start with a general degree and then specialise after that if you choose to, you don't try and find a degree that covers what a doctor needs to know but only in one narrow field.

I trust this makes sense.
